... when I first started playing TOR:
Any more? Or if you've got questions, post 'em here and I'll add 'em to the list.
- Area loot is win. I should have turned it on in the preferences.
- I should probably do the same thing for all the tooltip options, too, like detailed item tooltips and companion comparison tooltips.
- If my mission reward screen vanishes, it's probably in the pending section in the top right.
- Missions that give me an item to do something with, like a scanner or something like that - The items go into the mission tab in my inventory.
- I don't need a crafting station to craft. I send my companions off to do it. This means I can't craft until I get a companion, but I can harvest.
- And speaking of companions and crafting, I can use any companion to craft, not just the one I have with me. The ones back on my ship are just lounging around. I should put them to work for me.
- My lightsaber/ship/companion acquisition/etc is tied to the story and not to my level. I'll get those things when I've gone far enough through the story, not when I'm high enough level.
- I can turn companion abilities on and off by right clicking them in the powerbar
- Crafting will use items from my bank or ship's storage, as well as items in my inventory.
- While we're on the subject of crafting, I don't need a crafting table to craft. I just send my crew out to do it for me from the crew window.
- And speaking of tables, I don't need an item modification table to modify items either. Just ctrl+right click the item.
- I can send my companion off to sell my vendor trash without returning to a vendor myself, but-
- I can't do that if their status is listed as 'guest', which is what some companions are, until you've completed 1 mission with them.
- Advanced classes can only be gotten after level 10, and the trainers are either on the fleet or your hub world.
