The guild section kinda needs a sticky. Something to define what it is better - is it only for recruitment, or just guild info in general?
I've run into several gm's who don't post because they aren't actively recruiting, or don't want to give the impression of such.
I believe having a bigger list is better - the GM's can simply post a followup thread detailing their recruitment or activity status, if pertinent. This helps toward giving a good impression of the server as having a lot of active RP guilds.

I kind of figured it'd be for like, everything guild-related. Recruitment and info and whatever people feel like posting about. I'll see about throwing up a sticky to clear up that stuff. Maybe having like...a sticky with a list of guilds or something? Though that's probably harder to keep up to date than I'm guessing.

Yeah, well, the forums themselves are in a state of flux. Like us and the game, they're new, and I originally just threw some categories together that I thought made sense. I figured I could refine them over time as the needs of the community became more defined. That's why this suggestions area exists, because I knew for sure I wouldn't get it right first time.
So we could have a section for guilds that are recruiting and a section for guilds that aren't, but then when guilds change status from recruiting to not, they'd have no real way to move themselves from one to the other. Perhaps each guild could put in their message whether or not they're recruiting?

I think it's easier to just have a single guild section, but let the guilds update themselves if they decide to suddenly close or open recruiting. I've never actually known a guild that was ever really "closed" - they just went through phases of not actively seeking members. And some, like the more picky RP guilds, approach people directly rather than the other way around.

Hmm, yeah. That definitely makes more sense to just have people edit their guild listings to like opened or closed or whatever. Makes it easier, too.
