You are: a casual RP'er on the Ebon Hawk server. You don't RP all the time, especially when doing quests or flash points. On a planet, in your spare time, or when you're just crafting or putting things up on the Trade Network? Yeah, of course. Maybe even a little story line here and there. RP events are nice, too, and some days you just feel like doing some Roleplaying and nothing else.
You don't know a LOT about Star Wars lore. You don't think you've ever actually SEEN a gundark, but you know you have to be pretty strong to pull the ears off one. Sure, you've memorized most of the lines from A New Hope, but who hasn't? Maybe you know a little more about the universe than other people, read some of the books and whatnot, but you're not a snob about it.
You like having people to quest with and go on missions with who aren't uptight hardcore raiders. They, like you, are in it for some fun.

The Guild in a nutshell: OOC, the Legion is a group of people who want to have fun. No lore snobs, no RP elitist. Just grouping, helping each other, and having a character.
IC, the guild is a black bag operation: formed for the Republic without any official support of the Republic. Answering only to a few members of the Republic military, the Legion takes on the best of all the galaxy has to offer. Soldier to Jedi, starship captain to diplomat. We're not mercenaries or thugs, and just because the work is not, strictly speaking, legal does not mean we're outlaws. Duty, honor, bravery, for the Republic - these are standards that each Legionnaire must hold themselves to.
